Garbage changes for Labor Day

The Town of Lake Placid and Choice Environmental, which serves the unincorporated areas of Highlands County, will not change their trash pick up schedules for Labor Day.Published: September 1, 2012
The City of Avon Park and City of Sebring trash pickup changes are as follows:
Monday's pickup will move to Tuesday; Tuesday's pickup will move to Wednesday; Thursday and Friday pickups will remain the same.
All city and county government offices will be closed Monday, resuming normal hours Tuesday.
