SEBRING The Highlands County Sheriff's Office was still investigating Thursday a home invasion robbery after a Sebring family living on Healy Street was rousted out of bed at about 12:17 a.m. Wednesday by two men armed with shotguns.

The couple, in their early 30s, was ordered onto the floor during the robbery, according to the sheriff's office. It was unclear what was taken. No description of the robbers was available.

After the men left in what was described as possibly a loud vehicle the couple sent their children to a neighbor's house.

The vehicle reportedly headed down Corvette Avenue toward Grand Prix Drive, near the Sebring Walmart.

Anyone who may have seen or heard anything in reference to the case is asked to call the Criminal Investigations Unit at (863) 402-7250.
