Due to a water main break, the Town of Lake Placid has issued a precautionary boil water notice between the east side of U.S. 27 N., from Lakeview Road north of Holiday Inn, ending at Lagrow Road and the east boundary at Lake Clay Drive. This does not include Holiday Inn or Raceway gas station.Published: September 15, 2012
All water used for drinking or cooking should be boiled for one minute.
As long as samples pass bacteriological testing, residents may return to normal water usage at noon Sunday.
