AVON PARK - South Florida State College's Museum of Florida Art and Culture (SFSC MOFAC) presents Reflections from an Artistic Marriage: Watercolors, Oils, and Batiks, Phil Fisher and Natalie Guess. The exhibition will be on display Oct. 10-Dec.1.Published: October 9, 2012
Fisher's "colorful and vibrant paintings capture the moment," states a news release.
"With a visual preference for landscape, most of his work is done 'en plein air," the news release adds.
Guess paints using the rare art form known as batik – painting with hot, clear wax and color dyes.
Fisher and Guess will present an artist program about their exhibit, and Guess will demonstrate the batik process during SFSC MOFAC's Third Thursday program on Oct. 18, 1 p.m., in SFSC MOFAC.
SFSC MOFAC is open to the public Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 12:30-4:30 p.m., one hour prior to each Artist and Matinee Series performance and by appointment for group tours.
