Authorities seek armed robbery suspect in Sunday incident

SEBRING - Authorities are looking for an armed robber who reportedly stole scratch-off lottery tickets and cash at a store Sunday, according to Highlands County Sheriff's Office.

A clerk working at M&H Food Store at 2532 SR 17 S., Sebring, told authorities that a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a parka-style jacket with a hood and armed with a handgun robbed the store at about 7:29 p.m. Sunday, a press release states.

The clerk was not injured in the robbery.

This investigation is ongoing and detectives are currently pursuing leads to identify the suspect. Anyone with information is requested to contact Detective Roger St. Laurent at 863-402-7447.
