LAKE PLACID - Do you have $250,000 or so sitting around collecting little interest?
If so, RaceWay officials would like to talk with you about operating a store in Lake Placid at the corner of Lakeview Road and U.S. 27.
RaceWay, which is a division of RaceTrac Petroleum, is advertising on its sign on the property located in front of the Holiday Inn Express and Suites.
Phil Gura, vice president legal for RaceTrac Petroleum, said the company is looking for entrepreneurial individuals who have between $200,000 and $300,000 to invest to stock the store and for working capital.
Convenience store experience is important, but any retail experience would be good for those interested in becoming a contract operator.
Construction on the store is expected to begin this April. The store is tentatively scheduled to open in August of this year.
The 2,500 square-foot structure will be a modular building. Gura said it will be the company's "new flagship design."
The building will be constructed in either Georgia or Texas, shipped to the site and then put back together.
