SEBRING - A car struck a utility pole off Sebring Parkway early Friday morning and left some customers in the dark for a few hours.
A female driver crashed into the pole and brought down some power lines around 12:20 a.m., according to information from the City of Sebring Fire Department. Both airbags were deployed and the car was totaled, but there was no information on what type of injuries the driver suffered, or her name.
Tim Leljedal, spokesman for Progress Energy of Florida, said less than 100 customers lost power in the Springdale Road area. Crews responded to the scene and power was restored around 3:25 a.m.
