The following people were booked Thursday, Sept. 17 into the Highlands County Jail:

Gerald Lamar Boyd, 28, of 514 Granada Blvd., Sebring, on warrants charging three counts of petty theft and one count of grand theft of $300 or more but less than $5,000.

Aaron Lance Dennis, 27, of 1442 Georgia Ave., Avon Park, on charges of resisting an officer without violence, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cocaine, sale of cocaine, and warrants charging failure to appear for a competency hearing on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cocaine.

Matthew Preston Lee, 30, of 1225 W. Washington Blvd., Lake Placid, on an affidavit of violation of pretrial release on a charge of lewd battery.

Lillian Mercedes Martinez, 35, of Avon Park, on a charge of neglecting a child without great harm.
