Hate letters

This is in response to a letter to the editor "Be Prepared" which appeared in the Sept. 11 issue. This letter left me heart sickened and reminded me that hatred and animosity continue to fester.

The sender stated that she is a retired teacher. How sad that a person spewing such venomous hatred for our president of the United States was teaching our children.

Call our president "unqualified, blundering, in bed with terrorists, un-American, etc. is in itself un-American. Some people still have to be reminded that President Obama was elected by a majority of the voters.

After spewing all of her venomous, repugnant, racist comments, she calls on God to "lead us out of this mess." I sincerely hope she includes bigotry, bitter hatred and racism in "this mess," which does need to be cleaned up.

We need a president with a cool head, warm heart and applying America's core principles to lead this country. It appears that we have just that!

It would be good if people sending in these hate letters would carry their feelings in their hearts instead of trying to fan the flames of hatred through the media.
