Precautionary boil water notice in AP rescinded

AVON PARK - The Sept. 9 precautionary boil water notice for several streets in Avon Park has been rescinded following the action taken to correct the problem and the satisfactory completion of the bacteriological survey, showing that the water is safe to drink.
The areas affected included: Winthrop Street from Emmanuel Way over to the Lake Isis Area, which includes the 700, 800 and 900 blocks of West Winthrop Street, Ruth Street, Winifred Street, Palmetto Street, Emmanuel Way, Kingdom Way and Oak Lane.
