Are you ready for some indescribably "happy news?" After a long illness, I am finally as the young people say, "getting back in the groove."
My profound thanks go to Mr. Chuck Oakes of Southern Lifestyle who got me a ticket for the final performance of "Smokey Joe's Café."
I have never seen such an outstanding show! What a large cast of great dancers, singers, costumes, and set designs. Stage changes were so fast we hardly noticed.
I was happy to see many of long-time stars still with us and welcome the very large group of young people who have joined with their talent.
They were awesome; I am sure there were many of us who wished we could have gotten up and danced with them.
This had to be the most exciting show I have ever seen.
They did 42 song and dance numbers; unbelievable! I can only imagine the hours and hours they all put in to produce such a perfect performance. I believe that music and laughter is good medicine, it sure helped me.
