Lately the TV news channel that I watch has been talking about President Obama's planned school visits. Some of the parents didn't like his lesson plan or speech, so they said they would keep their kids home on the day he visits. Some wanted to see his plan before he addresses the kids. Now I know of at least two prior presidents that have visited schools, both President George W. Bush and his father, and I don't recall either of them providing a lesson plan to the public or parents.
When will some of us realize that this world has more than one face and come together as a people and not a color? It is my opinion that is all surrounding this issue is color and nothing else. If the last president would have visited one of the schools my kids were in, it would have been something special for them and I wouldn't have let my opinion or political view of Bush stop them from that opportunity. We're all God's people no matter what color we are.
