After reading the letter from Ms. Fredlake, I was left in dismay by her summation of the Tom Rooney meeting. The 500-plus people in attendance were soundly behind what Rep. Rooney had to say about the health care bill and the excessive debt proposed by the current administration.
I believe the freedom sign reinforced our right to free speech. If she thought the facts were not discussed, how does she explain the fact that the Democratic Congress and Mr. Obama wanted to jam this bill through without discussion or disclosure of its contents and without any Republican input.
Yes, most of the crowd was seniors who do not need to apologize for their years of work and contribution to the U.S. Treasury. We are concerned about the massive debt being run up by the current health care issues without massive expenditures or government intervention that are not allowed to see the light of day because of Ms. Pelosi.
