The Oct. 26 issue of the paper carried a story on the front page about the work Father Michael Cannon of St. James Catholic Church is doing, in Lake Placid, titled "A Sense of Community."
What a refreshing change from the "doom and gloom" that usually greets us in the mornings.
As I ramble through Highlands County, I find so many young people and others contributing their time and talents for the good of their community. Articles such as this which appeared on Oct. 26 are well deserved and appreciated.
