While some bars are reducing their prices, others are catering to a different clientele. Cusworth Arms, a beer and wine bar inside the Kenilworth Lodge, is serving imported beers and premiums wines for those who know the difference.
"These are wines you can't find anywhere else," said Katherine Knowles-Cusworth, owner.
With their opening on Nov. 9 at 5 p.m., wine and beer connoisseurs have a place to go. The price for domestic beers runs between $2.75 up to $5 and house wines start at $4.25 a glass.
"This is for people that have more appreciation for wine," Cusworth said.
Another new place to satisfy wine lovers taste buds is opening up in Lake Placid, and they've got bottles from European wineries.
Jose Ibenez's wine shop, Los Vinos, is located on 414 W. Interlake Blvd., behind his nursery called Ibenez Gardens.
Ibenez combined his family connections to the wine industry with his 18-year experience as a landscaper to create the garden ambiance wine shop.
Their grand opening is on Nov. 5, and they'll have wine tasting.
