It is evident that many people who are living in this country either cannot see what is about to happen to us or do not care. The signs of catastrophe are all about us, but many argue that all is well, or insist that we have not moved far enough or fast enough.

We are fast losing the very foundations upon which our cherished nation was built and when they are gone, the nation may as well be gone. We will be just like others who are struggling to eke out a miserable existence. Do you think that is just fearful doom saying? Open your eyes! You may glimpse a number of things that are fast disappearing.

The first thing and most important in my opinion is the Godly heritage we have enjoyed from the very beginning. "We have been endowed," said the founders, "By the Creator, with certain unalienable rights." The nation, to a large extent, has denied the Creator and as a result, the rights are fast eroding!

There are good laws that keep us from destroying one another, but do we desire laws to prevent us from doing what is right and good, such as praying and worshiping openly and in public? The ACLU is against civil and religious liberties and they have too much influence in our courts and in public opinion. Is this a surprise?

Are you happy that the Constitution is being ignored, or even rejected? Are you happy with the debt with which we are saddling our grandchildren by our unwise and profligate spending? Every government project has its cost and most times the cost is enormous. The national debt is many trillions and growing fast. It is staggering to anyone except the denizens of Washington.

Are you happy with the government taking control of private institutions, such as banks and privately owned auto companies? Is it the government's business to control what a private company pays its executives and who those executives should be?

Are you happy with the government's efforts to control the economy? Washington does not seem to know who it is that provide jobs that are able to sustain the economy. It is more likely to take the money away from those very people and give it to those who do not work.
