Streaks snap out of midseason funk

SEBRING - Quarterback Matt Grubb scored four touchdowns, Devin Clarke had 227 yards receiving and running back Damion Thompson made a spectacular varsity debut in Sebring's 43-0 win over Celebration on Friday night at Firemen's Field.
Sebring, which was mired in an eight-quarter scoreless streak, drove 84 yards in eight plays on its opening drive and never looked back. The margin of victory was the Blue Streaks' largest of the season.
Grubb completed 15 of 21 passes for 280 yards, 227 of which went to Clarke, the junior receiver. Clarke scored two touchdowns, including an 80-yarder in the third quarter that gave the Blue Streaks a 28-0 lead in the second quarter.
Thompson, filling in for the injured Daniel Burnett, rushed for 92 yards on 11 carries. He also scored on a 36-yard touchdown run.
