Attention seniors: For the first time in history there will not be an increase in the Social Security cost of living adjustment (COLA). There may not be any for the next three years. That does not mean your Social Security benefit will stay the same, it will decrease! Your Medicare premium will increase from $96.40 to $104.20 in 2010 and to $120.20 in 2011. Your part D cost will probably also increase. But Congress voted themselves a big raise, between $4,700 and $5,300.
We send billions of dollars in aid to other countries. If an illegal gives birth to a baby in this country, it automatically becomes a citizen and the family can stay in this country. They get free medical care and assistance. Where does that money come from? It comes from our tax dollars, our Social Security. I'm tired of paying out to people who have never paid a cent in taxes or Social Security.
I urge you to call or write you representatives and tell them you will not vote for any incumbents in 2010 or 2012.
They have to start thinking of the people in this country who worked and paid their taxes and now deserve a rest. Stop giving money to those who did not! Laws must change.
