Bicyclist injured after being hit by truck

AVON PARK A 19-year-old man suffered non life-threatening injuries Wednesday after being hit by a pickup truck at U.S. 27 North and College Drive.
Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Chris Miller said 19-year-old Kyle Rupert was flown from the scene by Aeromed as a precautionary measure. He was listed in guarded condition.
The accident happened at 8:05 p.m., according to Miller. The driver of the Dodge pickup truck was William McKinney, 34.
