SEBRING - A 12-year-old boy was in fair condition Friday in Tampa General Hospital after a dirt bike he rode collided with a truck Thursday afternoon at Ranchero Drive and Farm Road in Sebring.
Austin Williams, 12, of an unknown address, was airlifted Thursday to Tampa via Aeromed helicopter with non life-threatening injuries, according to the Florida Highway Patrol, that investigated.
The crash report was not prepared by press time, but FHP Lt. Chris Miller said Friday that at about 4:12 p.m. FHP was notified that the boy collided with a truck driven by Eric Haralson, 40, of Sebring.
It was not clear if the youth wore a helmet.
A landing zone was set up Albritton Road, according to EMS personnel, who responded to the scene.
