SEBRING - Patients who use the Highlands County Health Department's Sebring clinic will have to go to its clinics in Avon Park or Lake Placid until remodeling work at the Sebring location is complete in about a month's time.
"The needed improvements at the Sebring clinic will cause it to be partially closed until the completion of work which is estimated to be December 21st," said a press release from Tom Moran, the health department's planning consultant.
While the Sebring health department clinic is closed right now, all other health department offices are open.
Anyone who needs Administration, Case Management, Dental, Eligibility/Billing, Emergency Preparedness, Environmental Health, Epidemiology, Health Promotion, Healthy Start, Immunizations, Medical Records, School Health, Vital Statistics, Wellness and Diabetes Program and WIC & Nutrition is not being affected by the remodeling.
The Avon Park clinic is located at 400 S. Lake Ave. They can be reached at 863-452-0180.
The Lake Placid clinic is located at 106 N. Main Ave. They can be reached at 863-465-2252.
"The main reason for our renovations in our Sebring Medical Clinic is to create a better clinic flow," said health department administrator Robert Palussek. "The new layout will allow us to provide high quality medical care to our patients in a more efficient way which will reduce wait time and increase client satisfaction."
