'Lucky Friday the 13th' theme at Gallery Walk

SEBRING - Leave your superstitions at home and join the downtown merchants in celebrating "Lucky Friday the 13th" in Sebring.

The monthly Gallery Walk will be held tonight from 5 to 8. At most venues attendees can enjoy light refreshments, entertainment and special events.

A gift basket valued at more than $200 will be available. Many stores have donated items and gift certificates. Attendees may register at any venue and receive extra chances with each purchase.

Dance club welcomes The Highlandaires

SEBRING - The Highlands Social Dance Club hosts ballroom dancing tonight from 7-9:30 at the Sebring Lions Club on Sebring Parkway.

The Highlandaires under the direction of Peter Graves will be playing.

All club dances are open to the public. Appropriate dress is required.

Admission is $5 for members and $7 for non-members.

'Fiddler On The Roof' continues at HLT

SEBRING - Curtain time for "Fiddler On the Roof" is set for 8 tonight at Highlands Little Theatre, 356 W. Center Ave., in Sebring.

There will be shows at 8 p.m. Nov. 14 and 2:30 p.m. Nov. 15.

SEBRING - Ransom will be playing at the Sunset Grille tonight and Nov. 14 and in the afternoon Nov. 15.
Sunset Grille is located at 2650 U.S. 27 S. in Sebring.

Heartland Idol finale set for Circle

SEBRING - The finals of Heartland Idol will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 14 on the Circle in downtown Sebring.

There will be other events earlier in the day including at Tea Party gathering, the Saturday Night Cruise from 3 until approximately 5 p.m. as well as an Oreo eating contest and a wing eating contest sponsored by Beef O' Brady's for those 18 and over.

Saturday Morning Market to be held in LP

LAKE PLACID - The Lake Placid Saturday Morning Market is scheduled for Nov. 14 in Stuart Park in Lake Placid from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

There will be wine, funnel cakes, arts and crafts and jewelry. Lunch and breakfast will be available; eat at the park or take home.

Entertainment will be provided by Gary Filip.

Free movies slated at libraries

SEBRING - Free movies will be shown Nov. 14 at the public libraries in Highlands County. They begin at 2 p.m.

The schedule includes "Monsters vs. Aliens" at Sebring and "What Did You Do in the War Daddy" at Avon Park.

No movie will be shown in Lake Placid.

SUNDAY

Winter Concert Series to begin at Tanglewood

SEBRING - The Winter Concert Series at Tanglewood will begin Nov. 15 with a family show call "ShaeLaurel."

The group will perform a unique blend of fast-fiddling Irish and contemporary music.

Doors open at 6:15 p.m., with the show starting at 7.

Tickets are $10 per person. Tickets are available at the Rec. Hall during business hours and at the door.

Tanglewood is located one-half mile north of the Sebring Walmart on U.S. 27.
