Two arrested on drug charges
SEBRING - Stephen Michael Sramek Jr., 22, and Stephanie Michelle Andrews, 21, both of 9150 Morgan Path, Sebring, were arrested Friday and charged with distributing amphetamine and marijuana, respectively.
A car was stopped at the corner of Lakeview Drive and Valencia Street after a Sebring Police officer determined the loud music he was hearing in the area was coming from the vehicle, according to the arrest report.
Police searched Sramek, the passenger, and reportedly found a pill bottle containing approximately 129 Xanax pills that were made by different manufacturers.
When Officer John Garrison asked Andrews, the driver, if she had anything illegal on her, she pulled out four baggies containing marijuana, the report stated.
SPD Officer Chad Landry made the arrest.
Man charged in connection with July 2008 burglary
SEBRING - Richard William Raymond, 44, of Sarasota, was served with a warrant over the weekend charging him with burglary of a dwelling or structure causing damage over $1,000, damaging property/criminal mischief and grand theft of $300 or more but less than $5,000.
On July 22, 2008, the Why Not Lounge in Sebring was burglarized and a $3,500 ATM machine containing approximately $3,200 in cash was stolen, according to the arrest report.
Damaged in the burglary were the rear glass door and an office door, with total damages coming to $1,100, the report stated.
Sebring Police Officer Doris Rebmann served the arrest warrant.
