Here is a list of events scheduled for Veterans Day, Wednesday.
Veterans Day annual parade
SEBRING - The sixth annual Veterans Day parade in downtown Sebring is scheduled for 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Participants will begin to line up after 2:30 p.m. right up until parade time on North Pine Street near Sebring Middle School.
The parade will proceed up North Ridgewood toward the Circle, enter the Circle counterclockwise and make its way down South Commerce Avenue to Firemen's Field.
In the Circle, the Heartland Pops will perform a variety of songs.

SFCC holds flagpole ceremony
AVON PARK - A Veterans Day remembrance ceremony to honor all military veterans will be held Wednesday at 10:45 a.m. at the flagpole on the South Florida Community College Highlands Campus. The public is invited to attend.
The program will include guest speakers William E. Hutchison, retired col., U.S. Air Force and Troy Glenn, OS2(SW), U.S. Navy.
The Avon Park High School Air Force Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (AFJROTC) Color Guard, Knights of Columbus, Our Lady Queen of the Universe Assembly, SFCC Basic Corrections Academy Class 2009-173 and The U.S. Military Vets Motorcycle Club-Sebring Chapter will also be present during the ceremony.
The program will conclude with a Remembrance Walk along the SFCC campus.

Schools honoring veterans
AVON PARK - Memorial Elementary School will be having a Veterans Day program on Wednesday at 8:15 a.m. in front of the flag pole.
The Color Guard from VFW Post 4300 in Sebring will be there to present the colors. All veterans, families and friends are invited.
Fred Wild Elementary will be holding a Veterans Day
SEBRING - Fred Wild Elementary School Ceremony will have a special program starting at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the school courtyard.
In attendance will be the Sebring High School ROTC and members of the VFW and American Legion.
Students will pay tribute through music, poetry and speaking.
SEBRING - Woodlawn Elementary School's fourth-graders will present a Veterans Day program starting at 8:30 a.m. featuring songs, a poem, a slide show of relatives in the military and the Sebring High School JROTC Color Guard.
Post 69 holds special ceremony
AVON PARK - The Avon Park American Legion Post 69 will hold a special Veterans Day program with South Western Commander Richard Francis as host, starting at 11 a.m.
The program will consist of the raising of the flag, laying of the wreath, the singing of the national anthem and then a program with special reading about the Viet Nam Wall, the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and recognition of four Post members who fought in four wars.
Francis and Commander Barksdale will then present each one with a Legion medal of thank you. Following the program, everyone will then be asked to go out the back for a flag disposal program.
Karaoke by Double D and food will top off the salute. The post will provide the meat and everyone is asked to bring a dish to share.
Scout holds candle light vigil, flag ceremony
LAKE PLACID - Thomas Bunton, who belongs to Boy Scout Troop 482, has chosen a timely subject for his Eagle Scout project.
At 6 p.m. on Nov. 11 at DeVane Park, Bunton will have a flag retirement ceremony and candle light vigil to honor Veterans Day.
"Anyone wishing to honor a loved one or a friend can join Tom in Lake Placid at DeVane Park and learn the meaning of our flag," stated a press release.
Those attending should bring a yellow candle to honor those currently in the military. For civilian services like fire, police, and those in emergency medical services, bring a white candle. And those who have lost someone in any of these services can bring a black candle.
Veterans can enter state parks for free Nov. 11
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Florida State Parks will waive day-use entrance fees for all visitors at state parks Wednesday, Nov. 11 in recognition of Veterans Day.
The free day is in honor of veterans and active duty military personnel in all branches.
All other use fees, such as overnight accommodations, tours or special events, will be charged as usual. Skyway Fishing Pier State Park in Tampa is not included in this special offer.
