Lake Placid routs Gateway Charter 55-0

FORT MYERS - Lake Placid senior tailback Caleb Jones rushed for 219 yards and scored five touchdowns to lead the Green Dragons to a 55-0 win over Gateway Charter (Fort Myers) on Friday night. The Class 2B-District 6 win improved Lake Placid to 5-4 overall and 3-2 in district play, while the loss droped the Griffins to 0-8, 0-4.

Lake Placid senior fullback Navahri Holden scored two touchdowns and junior quarterback Kirk Veley added a score as the Green Dragons cruised to the easy victory.
