For the first time in history, Congress will not allow an increase in the Social Security COLA (cost of living adjustment.)
I do not understand how Congress can do this to the seniors of America. They do not have our interest at heart. Why do they think they need a raise when the people of America are going without? People cannot find a job, they are losing all they have worked for and Congress gets a raise; makes sense?
I also do not understand how this Medicare D can be legal. Once you get in the "doughnut hole" or "gap" you are on your own as far as your medicine goes. You pay full price and when your medicine bill comes to more than your Social Security check, then there is a problem, but you still keep on paying for insurance. How is this fair? But Congress gets a raise.
What do we have to do to get someone to listen? I would like to have insurance that would cover through the gap. Why is this impossible?
