Letters To The Editor

My father told me many years ago that Americans are the most gullible people in the world. This is the second article I've written with this title with different subject content.
This letter deals with elections and the way people vote.
It's hard to believe that some people vote like they are rooting for their favorite football team or some sport. The candidate and the party don't matter to them because their grandfathers, their uncles and mothers and fathers were Democrats or Republicans for years and that's how they determine how they should vote.
Personally, its hard for me accept that when I voted in the last presidential election, it was flawed by organizations like ACORN who were using our hard-earned tax dollars to corrupt the election.
How ironic is it that our county and our government is now very concerned about a corrupt election in Afghanistan, but our last corrupt election is just now part of our history and is not of concern.
The government is now considering giving health benefits to illegals; if you think illegal immigration is bad now wait until this health reform bill passes. The illegal population will sky rocket just for health care.
America is approaching an abyss like never before in the history of the United States.
We now have an administration that wants total power over all the people and it's loaded with corrupt politicians, 30-plus Socialist czars and tax evaders.
Sure, I could name them but I would exceed my word limit. Let's face it, most of our elected politicians only care about themselves and the organizations they owe favors; they never consider the constituents that elected them.
There are no term limits for these corrupt politicians, and some of our Congressmen and women and senators have been in office over 10 years and are so powerful that none of their associates will confront or question them.
Wake up America, we need a new start. Vote some of these long term corrupt incumbent idiots out. If nothing else, wouldn't it be better if we had a balanced Congress and Senate?
