Why did you start the business?

The pub was an excellent opportunity to support the $1 million renovation currently going on at the Kenilworth Lodge. We believe everyone expects for a hotel to have a place they can go for a drink and relax. "Pub" is actually the British term for a "public house." Pubs are very popular social meeting places and an important part of the British life. We would like to be able to see guests and locals be able to drink, talk and meet friends and just hang out at The Cusworth Arms.

Is there anything unique about your business that makes it different from the competition?

The Cusworth Arms is a nice place you can sit back and have a quiet drink among friends inside or outside on the porch. We will offer a wide range of beers, local and international, with German, English, Belgian and Irish beers being in demand. An excellent house wine will be offered with a range of premium wines, too.

What challenges do you face in business?

The support of the locals will be our biggest challenge. We want The Cusworth Arms to be a place that locals can look at as their own and enjoy. We welcome suggestions jazz shows, wine tastings, beer club, senior singles nights and beer and wine dinners and other functions.

What do you like about your business?

The interesting friendly people we get to meet.
