SEBRING - Kevin Galloway and Carol Boyajian, owners of Sebring Roadhouse Grill, announce that during the month of June, 10 percent of every guest check (excluding tax) will be donated to a local charity, church or service organization.
Galloway decided to start this campaign as a way to thank the local community for their support as Roadhouse Grill celebrates its third year in business.
"In the three years we have been open, we've come to embrace the people of Sebring and the surrounding communities. This is our way of thanking the local patrons that drive our business", Galloway said. "We have grown to love this community and want to create a partnership of giving back. Every guest that dines with us during the month of June will be able to choose their favorite charity and know that 10 percent of their check will make a difference in this community."
Among the 25 charitable organizations that will monetarily benefit from this promotion are: Big Brothers Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, Alan Jay Chamber Scholarship Fund, West Sebring Volunteer Fire Department, Humane Society, Children's Services Foundation, Greater Sebring Chamber of Commerce, Highlands Community Church, HCSO D.A.R.E. program, Union Congregational Church, Highlands Art League, Samaritan's Touch, Ridge Area Arc, Sebring Police Department K-9 Fund, Boys & Girls Clubs of Highlands County, Heartland Horses for Handicapped, Parkway Food Ministry, Relay for Life, YMCA and Wrede's Wildlife Rehab Center.
The campaign will run from June 1 through June 31. The official kickoff party will be held at Roadhouse Grill on Sunday, May 31 at 1 p.m.
Chef Louie, featured on the Food Network, will be on site preparing food and there will be entertainment by Roger Decker, a regular Thursday night performer at Roadhouse Grill. Members representing the benefiting organizations will also be in attendance. The kickoff party is open to the public.
Tuesday nights during the month of June will be designated as Kids Day at Roadhouse. Kids under the age of 12 eat free (2 kids per each paying adult). There will be a featured kid's meal and the kids can expect to see the Highlands County Sheriff D.A.R.E. deputies, Sebring Police Department Police Officers and West Sebring volunteer firemen and receive coloring books and learning materials.
"If the campaign is as successful as we hope it will be, we will extend it through the month of July," Galloway said. "We hope the word will spread and the spirit of giving will make an impact to the organizations that do so much for the residents of this community."
