The following people were booked Wednesday, May 20 into the Highlands County Jail:

Bobby Butler, 27, of 1103 N. Lake Ave., Avon Park, on charges of resisting an officer without violence, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana.

Shondra Nicole Chancey, 28, of 1805 Van Horne Ave., Lorida, on warrants charging violation of probation in reference to forgery, attempted burglary of an unoccupied structure or conveyance, uttering a forged instrument, grand theft of $300 or more but less than $5,000, false verification of ownership to pawnbroker, grand theft and two counts of dealing in stolen property.

Troy Leon Gordon, 21, of Avon Park, on charges of battery and kidnapping/false imprisonment.

Arvil Andrew Gorman, 53, of 3200 Elaine Drive, Lorida, on warrants charging criminal use of personal ID and scheming to defraud under $20,000.

Joseph Lloyd Hill, 54, of 1619 Valiant Ave., Sebring, was recommitted and sentenced to 180 days for driving while license is suspended, second offense.

Gary Benjamin Laird, 29, of 1622 Wightman Ave., Sebring, on warrants charging violation of probation in reference to grand theft and forgery.

Raul Junior Olivarez, 34, of Bowling Green, was recommitted and sentenced to 20 days in jail for knowingly driving while license is suspended or revoked.

Douglas Paul Tobeler, 47, of 3202 Avery Court, on a charge of possession of cocaine.

Pamela Jean Wyatt, 37, of 3200 Elaine Drive, Lorida, on warrants charging scheming to defraud under $20,000 and criminal use of personal ID information.
