This is in response to the article on loud aircraft by Kathleen Walker.
Ms. Walker, you asked if there is a legitimate reason for the planes to be flying this late at night. You should be thankful for these "young men in their flying machines" practicing their skills at any time of night or day.
Surely, you do not think that war takes place only in the daylight hours, now do you? I am comforted by their presence and appreciate knowing that some of my tax dollars are being spent to protect our rights, including your right to publicly express your dismay over someone protecting your rights!
The bombing range was here many years before you arrived and has served to provide training facilities for thousands of pilots who serve our country well. You should get some ear plugs and appreciate the military and their accomplishments.
