This time you don't have to take just my word on the works of "Thoroughly Modern Millie" at Highlands Little Theatre.
None of the people at our table had been to a performance before, so they had no idea what to expect, as for the food or the play.
They were here from Ohio and had a lot of questions. Were the cast members local? How was the food? Who did the catering, set design, wardrobe design, as well as a host of other questions, which my husband, Van, and I tried to answer.
If you have read any of my other letters about the works of Highlands Little Theatre, you know I did my answers up proud. At intermission, these people let me know I had not come close to doing justice with any of my answers.
Kelly Pelham was super as Millie, as were all the key players and the cast members who had smaller parts.
Adam Meredith as Ching Ho and Chris Friend as Bun Foo were really outstanding to play parts as Chinese, when they aren't. I was so glad we got to see Mama at the end.
As you exit the theater, you get to greet the cast members, and each of them seem really happy you came and grateful for the kind remarks you give them.
