The following people were booked Monday, March 23 into the Highlands County Jail:

Shawn Phillip Allen, 30, of 1211 W. Hall St., Avon Park, on a charge of burglary of an unoccupied conveyance while unarmed.

Legear Carolyn Harris, 47, of 910 W. Gwendolyn St., Avon Park, was recommitted and sentenced to 2-and-a-half years in prison for possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Mary Ann Jackson, 53, of 323 Ballard Road, Avon Park, on a warrant charging violation of probation in reference to possession of cocaine.

Altus Jermaine Lee, 24, of 2430 N. Dunwoodie Road, Avon Park, on warrants charging burglary while armed, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and robbery with a firearm.

Alvin Tyrone Moses, 46, of 1105 Grand Ave., Sebring, was recommitted and sentenced to 364 days in jail for grand theft of $300 or more and uttering a false bank bill, note or check.

Monica Lynn Sheppard, 25, of Sebring, on charges of battery on a person 65 years of age or older and battery.

Demetris Roshay Williams, 34, of 907 Woodrow Ave., Avon Park, on a charge of extortion or threats.

Sherwin Murray Wyche, 27, of 155 Josephine Ave., Lake Placid, was recommitted and sentenced to 2-and-a-half years in jail for possession of marijuana and tampering with or destroying evidence.
