SEBRING - Any reports circulating within the community of a shooting at Sebring High School are false.
Lt. Bruce Crum, with the Sebring Police Department, said there have been no emergency calls this morning about a shooting. Lt. Jess Purvis, with the Highlands County Sheriff's Office, said the same.
These reports came less than 24 hours after mass e-mails and text messages spread through Highlands County saying Wal-Mart shoppers were going to be shot as part of a gang initiation.
