Golden Era Big Band To Play At Social Dance Club
SEBRING - The Highlands Social Dance Club hosts ballroom dancing tonight from 7 - 9:30 at the Sebring Lions Club on Sebring Parkway.

Music will be provided by the Golden Era Big Band.

There will be free ballroom dance instruction from Walt and Sue available from 6:30 p.m.

All club dances are open to the public. Appropriate dress is required.

Admission is $5 for members and $7 for nonmembers.

Art Show Set At Francis I

SEBRING - The Francis I Mobile Estates is having an art and crafts show from 9 a.m. to noon March 7 at its clubhouse. The park is located at 29 Mimi St. in Sebring.

On exhibit will be the work of park residents. Artists and crafts people who don't live in Francis I but take art lessons are welcome to exhibit.

Some of the art work on display will be for sale. Juliette Whitehead and Kate Forte are professional artists who teach park residents.

The show is free to the public. It is sponsored by the park's art club.

Crafts Festival In Sebring

SEBRING - The second annual Historical Downtown Sebring Craft Festival will be held from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. March 7 and 8.

There will be approximately 100 arts and crafts vendors as well as food vendors.

Activities and contests are planned for children.

Movies Showing At Libraries

LAKE PLACID - Free movies will be shown at 2 p.m. at the local libraries March 7.

The film at the Lake Placid Memorial Library, 205 W. Interlake Blvd., is "The Secret Life of Bees."

Popcorn and lemonade are also free.

"The Third Man" will be shown at the Avon Park Library, 100 N. Museum Ave.

At the Sebring library, 319 W. Center Ave., "Madagascar 2: Escape to Africa" will be shown.

Highlandaires Perform At Buttonwood Bay

SEBRING - The Highlandaires will perform at Buttonwood Bay from 7:30-10:30 p.m. on March 7. Tickets are $7.50 and can be purchased at the door. For more information, call Ken Beaton at 655-4875.

Breakfast To Be Served At Sebring Mobile Estates
SEBRING - Sebring Mobile Estates, located off Kenilworth Boulevard, will serve breakfast from 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. March 7.

The menu will include pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage patties and links, sausage gravy and biscuits, orange juice and coffee.

Library To Hold Free Accordion Concert

LAKE PLACID - There will be a free accordion concert at 2 p.m. on March 8, held by the Friends of Lake Placid Memorial Library.

Accordionists Stuart Williams and his former student, Shirley Andrus, will play a combination of polkas, waltzes, patriotic songs and favorite sing-alongs. In addition to the musical presentation, Williams will explain more about the workings of the instrument and discuss its beginnings and evolution throughout history.

Sea Plane Fly-In At Sunset Grille

SEBRING - There will be a South Florida Sea Plane Fly-In from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 8 at the Sunset Grille in Sebring.

The restaurant is located on Lake Jackson at 2650 U.S. 27 S.

Show Slated At Tanglewood

SEBRING - Vocalist and pianist Jerry Bennett and comedian Suzie Cruz will perform March 8 at Tanglewood.

The show will begin at 7 p.m. The doors and the snack bar open at 6:15.

Tickets are $10.

Tanglewood is located one-half mile north of the Sebring Wal-Mart on U.S. 27. Call 402-0763 for more information.

SEBRING - There will be an Italian buffet, wine tasting, mimosas and gourmet desserts. "Spin to Win" thousands of dollars in prizes, including trips to privately owned getaways and autograph sessions with world famous drivers.

Admission is $25 per person at Four Points by Sheraton Chateau Elan. Tickets and chips are available for purchase at Busy Bodies.
