Every once in a while someone comes along in your life that has a true impact on you and those around you. Monica Sauls is one of those individuals.
Monica has been an integral part of the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program in Highlands County for many years. She has made a very positive impact on everyone who has come in contact with her.
Monica has loved and breathed D.A.R.E. for many years. We are saddened to learn that she has been removed from the D.A.R.E. program.
Many of our fifth-grade students have been the recipients of her incredible teaching, enthusiasm, respect, guidance and true concern. We remember tears coming to her eyes as she listened to our students read their D.A.R.E. essays.
Her love and concern for them went much deeper than anyone could imagine.
Highlands County D.A.R.E. program will have a void and the children will have lost a true friend in the classroom. Monica, we love you and wish you the best.
