On behalf of myself, many friends and members of the following organizations, delivery was made recently of 208 pounds of pull tabs to Sahib Temple in Sarasota, who in turn will give the proceeds to the Shriner's Hospital in Tampa.
Since 1992 the funds have been used for the "Wheelchair Repair Fund" at the hospital.
The children in need of specially designed wheelchairs benefit from these funds.
Their wheel chairs are custom made for each child and must be continually modified approximately every six months as the child grows.
As of January, the Temple turned in 59,105 pounds and aluminum totaling $28,665.88, which all of the organizations mentioned here have been a part of. Special thanks to: Members of American Legion Post 25, Sebring Hi-12 Club number 592, Veterans Council of Highlands County, VFW Post 3880 and Lake Placid Hi-12 Club number 595.
Without your kind support, we could not help these children in their time of need. Your generous support is greatly appreciated by all.
Keep up the good work for this worthwhile cause. God bless you and God bless America.
