Letters To The Editor

My letter is a response to the first letter regarding the dog that was abandoned; no food, water, and no one to care for him. He would not eat or drink anything offered to him. He lingered for two weeks, probably wondering if the family that had abandoned him would return.
We've experienced some nasty weather over the last two weeks; rainy, sweltering hot days with thunder and lightning. Well, he's in a better place than his former owners offered him. He was struck and killed by a car on U.S. 27 North.
My question is to the people who left this dog to the unknown and sometime cruel happenings in our world. What did this animal do to you? By most standards our pets offer unconditional love, companionship and comfort. Apparently this animal wasn't worth the time or the effort. If there is such a thing as karma, then what goes around comes around.
