OKEECHOBEE - The Sebring All-Stars were heavy favorites heading into the Dixie AAA (ages 9-10) District 8 tournament.
Sebring proved they are the team to beat by blasting Lake Placid by a score of 14-0 in Saturday's first game and then the boys in blue routed Okeechobee 21-3 in the second game.
The win moves the Sebring All-Stars into tonight's championship game at 7.
"We hit the ball really well in both games," said Sebring coach Dean Frazier. "We also got excellent pitching from Josh Crouch and Crystal Grimaldo in game one and Trey Frazier and Kyle Helms pitched great in the second game.
"Jay Bible, Josh and Crystal had big hits in the first game and Jimmy Peck hit a grand slam for us in the second game for the highlight of the day."
Sebring received a bye on Sunday and is now only one win away from an automatic berth in the AAA state tournament in Paxson in July.
"We're going to be tough to beat," said Coach Frazier. "Our pitching is all set, we're swinging the bats well and I don't see us losing two games in a row."
