Enough is enough

I can't understand the thinking of our leaders: federal, state, county, city or others. When times are so hard with people out of work, striving to try and feed their families and keeping a roof over their heads and trying to pay their bills, what happens? The state wants to raise the price of car tags, title transfers and driver's licenses.

Of course, the price of food and medicines and everything else is rising in prices. Everything except our pensions: we draw the same amount today that we drew when we retired 20 years ago.

It really doesn't balance. I will say I have learned how to use hamburger many different ways. I'm so glad I was raised on cornmeal mush and cornbread and beans. My feelings of sorrow are not for us old people but for the future generations. We aren't leaving much for our grandkids and great grandkids to look forward to.
