I am 83 years old and I have seen things come and go.

I have never written to my congressman or any newspaper because everything would seem to come back and it wouldn't hurt the people. Now people, get your calculator. The stimulus package has cost the taxpayers in the trillions of dollars.

Now, if our government had given every American citizen 3 or 4 million dollars, how many dollars would that have been? Then, the taxpayers wouldn't have so much to pay back; also everyone I talk to said they would pay off their mortgages, buy new homes, cars, start a new business and get health insurance.

Even with all the money they have given to the bank and car makers and so on, they are still putting people out of work everywhere and the Congress is telling us they are trying to get health insurance for everyone.

They don't want to fix anything; they just want to keep people under their thumb. OK, I have said what I had to say, not that it will ever make a difference.
