Florida's enforcement of the seatbelt law will result in lower deaths and injuries. Far more could be saved if our "No Fault" insurance law was abandoned.
In some states the police determine the cause of auto accidents and prosecute the "at fault" drivers; then their auto insurer justifiably raises their insurance rates. Insurers do not penalize the unfortunate people victimized by "at fault" drivers. Florida's unfortunate victims of lawbreakers are similarly punished by the "No Fault" insurance for being "involved."
It is high time our legislators end their punishment of the victims and punish those lawbreaking drivers and "double dipping" insurers.
