Premature death

Richie Valens and Buddy Holly died on their way to a gig in 1959 the day the music died. But Michael Jordan took time off in his prime to be a mediocre baseball player, Whitney Houston disappeared at her peak and Michael Jackson dropped out years ago. Makes one wonder what it is about our culture that makes our icons stop in the middle.
