Boil water notice rescinded

LAKE PLACID - The utilities department of Lake Placid is rescinding a precautionary boil water notice issued June 26 for the east side of U.S. 27 from Lakeview Road, Lake Clay Drive to Lagrow Road.

Customers in the affected areas can return to regular water use as of 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The bacteriological samples have been cleared.
