The following people were booked Wednesday, Jan. 21 into the Highlands County Jail:
Kemmeth Vidal Butler, 26, of 446 W. Perry Drive, Avon Park, on warrants charging failure to appear on charges of domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment and criminal mischief under $200.
Jeffrey Michael Carr, 28, of 2482 Nautilus Road, Avon Park, was sentenced to 30 days in jail for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI), first offense.
Rudy Lee Grigsby, 44, of Venus, was sentenced to 80 days in jail for DUI, first offense.
Amado Monter Islas, 33, of 702 S. Riggins Road, Avon Park, on a charge of attempted felony murder.
Richard Charles Moviel, 52, of 3519 Illinois Ave., Sebring, was sentenced to 60 days in jail for DUI, second offense.
Thomas Allen Peacock, 19, of 3437 Ellington Ave., was sentenced to 30 days in jail for driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license, habitual traffic offender.
Justin Timothy Petynia, 26, of 308 Golf Villas Court N.W., Lake Placid, was sentenced to 30 days in jail for DUI, first offense.
Cory Ray Rowton, 20, of 2035 Steiner Ave., Sebring, on warrants charging burglary of a dwelling, dealing in stolen property and grand theft.
Brian Glenn Snyder, 32, of 506 S. Hart Ave., Avon Park, on charges of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The following people were booked Friday, Jan. 23 through Sunday, Jan. 25 into the Highlands County Jail:
Francisco Oliveros-Alvarez 42, of 207 St. Lucie St., Lake Placid, on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and using a firearm while under the influence of alcohol.
Jesus Vargas Barrios, 29, of 144 Commerce Ave., Lake Placid, was sentenced to 10 days in jail for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.
Samuel Louis Bissell, 58, of 420 Grapefruit Ave., Sebring, on charges of possession of cocaine and tampering with physical evidence.
Mary Ann Daniels, 40, of Okeechobee, was sentenced to 20 days in jail for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Felipe DeJesus, 19, of Mayford, Del., was charged with theft of $300 or more, uttering a false bank bill note and giving false ID to a law enforcement officer.
Emiliano Delacruz, 52, of Frostproof, was sentenced to 10 days in jail for driving with an expired driver's license for more than four months.
Rodney Alvin Green II, 25, of Lakeland, was sentenced to 20 days in jail for knowingly driving while license is suspended or revoked, second offense.
