SARASOTA - Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast of Florida Inc. announces that neither licensed baker affiliated with Girl Scout Cookies, ABC Interbake and Little Brownie Bakers, source their peanut butter from the supplier involved in the current peanut butter warning.
FDA and other regulatory agencies have indicated that Peanut Corporation of America (PCA) is the focus of their investigation concerning a recent Salmonella outbreak thought to be caused by tainted peanut butter. PCA does not supply peanut butter used in any variety of Girl Scout cookies.
Girl Scouts on the Gulf Coast of Florida are currently taking orders for Girl Scout cookies through today.
Girl Scout cookies will be delivered to local warehouses for distribution on Saturday, Feb. 7. At that time, girls of Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida Inc. will participate in a direct sales period through March 8.
Girl Scout cookies can't be purchased at local warehouses.
