Ethanol Plant

I read in the paper about the ethanol plant or possible plants coming to Highlands County. This can be a most wonderful opportunity for the county, state, American citizens, real estate sales, businesses large and small alike.
Since our tax dollars are in part funding this program, there should be in no way anyone working either on the building project or in the plant itself not be a United States citizen. Our commissioners, state representative, Congress, Senate and governor should see that our people are ready to take these jobs.
They can start with talking to SFCC and the like to have programs that will help young, middle, older-aged persons to fulfill those jobs. If we truly want to rebuild our United States then let us begin with putting Americans first.
Young people it is up to you and you alone as to how far in your life you want to go. If an opportunity is here take it and work up. Have a goal that is higher than you can reach right now but can grow to it.
We have to get our leaders on the band wagon with you or it can't work, so go see unemployment agencies, send letters, e-mail, whatever it takes. It might just come to protesting, picketing, getting downright mad but that is all fine. Americans have had to do it many times before; it is time for your piece of the pie get it now!
My own working life started at 11 years of age, not counting work on the farms around home in Indiana. People in high places have a disdainful view of the working class except a few good people. So get the education, talk to counselors, building and trade whatever, just take the high road and go. This is for female and male alike. Remember newspapers, radio, government, schools, use all means starting with your mind, and don't let a good thing waste away.
