SEBRING - Guest speakers at today's monthly meeting of the Highlands County Homeowners Association will update county plans for the Sebring Parkway and construction of the new Veterans Services Building.
The public is welcome at the meeting, set for 9 to 11 a.m. in the Sebring Country Estates Club House on Grand Prix Drive, just west of US 27.
Highlands County Engineer Ramon Gavarrete and Elius Nortelus, project manager in the engineering department, will speak on the parkway project.
Joseph Dionne, director of county Veterans Services, will update construction of the new veterans services building, which is expected to open in time for Memorial Day services.
The homeowners association meetings include reports on Highlands County issues, ranging from the county commission and school board to the sheriff's office, recreation and parks, health department and planning and zoning commission.
