SEBRING Golf Hammock Country Club will hold ladies golf clinics with PGA/LPGA professional Nell Hays from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.

SEBRING Debby McNall is holding junior golf clinics and ladies clinics at Sebring Municipal golf course.
Junior clinics will run at 4 p.m. on Thursdays for ages 5 to 17. Cost is $10, which includes instruction on all aspects of the game.
Mixed clinics will run at 4 p.m. on Tuesdays for men and women. Cost is $15, which includes instruction on long and short game.

Watkis To Hold After School Tennis Camp
SEBRING Horace Watkis, 25-year USTA certified tennis professional, will hold after-school tennis camps until March 11 at the Thakkar Tennis Center at Sebring Country Club.
Cost is $75 for tiny tots (ages 4-6), $90 for future champs (6-12) and $120 for pre-tournament academy (12-18).

Weekend Youth Pick-Up Baseball Players Wanted
SEBRING Want to play ball? Need a break from video games? Players are being sought for pick-up baseball games at noon on Saturdays and Sundays at the YMCA softball fields.
There is no cost. Parents are invited to join in and play with their kids, and all skill levels and ages are invited. Games are for fun and beginners are welcome.

LP Chamber Of Commerce Family 5K Run/Walk On Tap
LAKE PLACID The second annual Greater Lake Placid Chamber of Commerce 5K family run/walk is set for 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21 at DeVane Park.
Cost is $15 through Feb. 13 ($10 for students) and $20 on race day.
Awards will be given out for overall male, overall female, first in male masters (40+), first in female masters (40+) and top three in age groups. Winners in each category will receive a heart monitor watch.

Jim McFarling Memorial Tournament On Tap
SEBRING The third annual Jim McFarling Memorial Tournament will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 28 at Spring Lake's Panther Creek golf course.
Cost is $50 per player which includes lunch following golf and pin prizes. The four-person scramble requires two drives from each player. There will be a 50/50 drawing with men's and ladies closest-to-the-pin prizes and a chance to play hole No. 17 from 150 yards for a donation. Mulligans will be available and a raffle will be held.
All proceeds will benefit a scholarship fund for junior golfers involved in the Sertoma junior golf tour.

Fifth Annual McKinney Golf Outing On Tap
SEBRING The fifth annual Sons Of AmVets Bob McKinney golf outing will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 28 at Sebring Municipal golf course.

First, second and third prizes will be awarded and a raffle and door prizes will be held.

SFCC Athletics Chicken BBQ Upcoming
AVON PARK The SFCC Athletic Department will host its annual chicken BBQ from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday Feb. 21 during the Panther baseball team's doubleheader against Clearwater Christian at Panther Field.
Contact the athletic office through Feb. 18 to reserve amount of dinners (half-chicken, potato salad, baked beans, roll, water or tea) you would like to purchase and pick them up to go or to enjoy while watching the games, which begin at 1 p.m.
Cost is a $7 donation per dinner. No ticket necessary, order ahead and pay for dinner at the game.

Sportsmen's Banquet, Redneck Games On Tap
LAKE PLACID By Him, For Him Ministries will hold a Sportsmen's Banquet featuring Pro Bass Fisherman Glen Chappelear at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28 at Scarborough Field.
Gates open at 1 p.m. for the Redneck Games, including bucket fishing, casting competitions, roping catfish, corn-hole, toilet seat flipping and more.
Dinner will be held at 6 p.m., which costs $10 and includes venison, gator tail, turtle, pork, smoked cabbage and sweet corn.

Post 25 Vets Golf Tourney Upcoming
LAKE PLACID The third annual Lake Placid American Legion Post 25 Vets Golf Tourney will be held at 8:30 a.m. on April 11 at Placid Lakes Country Club.
Cost is $60, which includes golf, on-course refreshments, closest-to-the-pin prizes on all par 3s, a $10,000 cash prize on No. 6, 50/50, mulligans, door prizes and lunch at Post 25 at 2 p.m.
The four-person scramble is being run by Voiture 863, 40 & 8 and has raised thousands of dollars for needy veterans in Highlands County, along with youth sports and other community projects.
