I hope that some in Congress recognize the tremendous amount of pork/paybacks that this stimulus bill contains: $2.4 billion for carbon capture products; $4.19 billion for Acorn, who is under federal investigation for voter fraud across the Northeast; $400 million for more global warming research; $50 million for National Endowment of The Arts; $200 million for refurbishing the National Mall.
And this is just the tip of the iceberg.
The Employee Free Choice Act is a giveaway to the unions that supported Mr. Obama.
If passed, it would strip union members from having a secret ballot on issues that they vote on.
It would also change the National Labor Relations Act, which protects union and non-union members alike, and would have a chilling affect on business, simply because employers would have to jump to the union's tune, or face the heavy hand of government in their business; all fines and penalties, for business; none for the unions.
The E-Verify Act, an amendment which was included it the stimulus bill, was not allowed to be brought to the floor for a vote by the Democrats.
This bill would have forced employers to verify, through a computer program on a government Web site, the names and Social Security numbers of all of their employees, to make sure that illegals were not being hired, using fake or stolen Social Security numbers, thus ensuring that U.S. citizens will continue to pay for themselves...and everybody else.
An onerous stench is coming out of this bill, and that's why it's being pushed to a vote so quickly.
Mark my words: Not one of the Wall Street Gang, not one of the Banking Gang, not any of the Big Three, nor the members of Congress who were supposed to be the watchdogs and take care of us, will ever have any charges brought against them.
They'll skate freely, while we have the yoke of tremendous debt piled on our shoulders for the next three generations. Money and Power talk and Justice walks.
This is the Obama legacy, and the legacy of those that follow him.
As he told Sen. Jon Kyl, when he asked a question, (because) "I won!"
